“People were coming into the restaurant with the Belfast chamber magazine and pointing to the image on page 2.
I want that! they said.” That’s how the story goes when Dorothee Newcombe the owner of the Whale’s tooth pub tells it. She goes on to say that had been taken off the menu and she had it put back on. The image was of Orange Haddock that another Lincolnville resident Joseph Corrado shot for the Pica Design the company who published the magazine.
Corrado, a food and interior photographer had shot a series of images of the Pubs food as well as food from other restaurants in the Belfast chamber for the issue. He is a member of the board of directors of the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce but getting to work with the the Whales Tooth Pub for the Belfast Chamber is extra special. “Dorothee and Rob were some of the first people I met when I moved here from Hoboken, New Jersey in 2007. It was always comforting to me to be within walking distance to a cozy pub”. He goes on to say that shooting food for the WTP is always fun. “Ever heard Dorothee laugh?”
